I learned a lot at the first meeting of the consortium and the PowerPoint presentation was quite helpful in getting the message out and explaining the whole thing. It was encouraging to see writers, musicians, visual artists, businesspeople,and others uniting behind the common cause of trying to save the arts in Solano County.

My only concern would be distilling what exactly the consortium can bring to the table for the community in a few brief bullet points instead of a long presentation. Not a Mission Statement, but what it actually does and is so the uninitiated can pick up in a quick glance what it's all about.

Hopefully I will be at the Fairfield City Council meeting on Tuesday night and voice my opinion on the evisceration of the arts and the devastating toll it will take on the community.

Hello Paul,

I came across your blog and wanted to inquire as to your intentions with Etix? Specifically have you inked a deal with them?

I do ask for selfish reasons, here is a little background on me and my passion for the arts and ticketing for such;

I am a member of the Fresno Arts Community and Board President of two theater companies; Children's Musical Theaterwork's and Musical Theaterworks Fresno (our website is in a redesign phase to accomodate a new ticketing solution). Also a member of FCASH in Fresno which is a consortium of sorts.

I have had many interactions with different ticketing companies good and bad prior to taking a position with Showare. I would suggest that you do a Dunn and Bradstreet report and an online BBB report on any ticketing company you might do business with, as you are trusting them with you patrons and organizations money.

Other than my works in the performing arts I have a job that pays the bills. Showare is a Fresno based company, 300 US clients, offices around the globe. We do full service ticketing and provide the control you are looking for in a solution and the solid business ethics you must insist on from a provider.

Should you be interested in talking through your needs further I can be reached at 559.288.2888

Keep up the good work you are doing!

Warm Regards,

Joe Wettstead
